Summer is already wrapping up, but that just means new dramas! Let’s see what we have to look forward to in this September 2023 edition of “Korean Dramas You Need to Be Watching.” This monthly series is meant to keep you updated on what’s happening in that amazing world of Korean dramas so that you don’t miss out on anything! Here are the kdramas you should keep an eye out for in September 2023:

1. A Time Called You
A Time Called You is a remake of the hit Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day. That drama was absolutely amazing, so I’m both nervous and excited for this remake. Here’s hoping A Time Called You can recapture the magic of the original and put its own spin on it! A Time Called You is a fantasy romance about a woman (Jeon Yeo Bin) struggling to deal with the death of her boyfriend (Ahn Hyo Seop) that gets caught up in a series of mysterious events involving him. A Time Called You is scheduled to premiere September 8 on Netflix.

2. Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun
Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun is an epic historical set in ancient times with a story that blends myth and history as a power struggle ensues in the land of Arth. Starring Jang Dong Gun, Lee Joon Gi, Shin Se Kyung, Kim Ok Bin Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun scheduled to premiere September 9 on tvN.
3. 7 Escape
7 Escape in about seven people involved in the disappearance of a young girl. Starring Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Joon, Uhm Ki Joon, Lee Yoo Bi 7 Escape is scheduled to premiere September 15 on SBS.
4. Song of the Bandits
Song of the Bandits is an action adventure set in 1920 about a man (Kim Nam Gil) who used to be a slave and was freed when the class system was abolished, but he still has the mindset of a slave. He eventually joins a group of bandits and works to protect those around him. Song of the Bandits is scheduled to premiere September 22 on Netflix.
5. Twinkling Watermelon
Twinkling Watermelon is about a teenager (Ryeoun) that lives a double life as a model student and a band member who travels through time and meets his teenage father. Twinkling Watermelon is scheduled to premiere October 2 on tvN.
6. The Worst of Evil
The Worst Evil is an action crime drama about a police officer (Ji Chang Wook) who goes undercover for an investigation involving drug trafficking between Korea, Japan, and China. The Worst Evil is scheduled to premiere September 27 on Disney+.

7. My Dearest
My Dearest is a historical romance set during the Joseon dynasty during wartime about a man (Nam Goong Min) with a tragic past and no desire to marry who falls for a charming noblewoman (Ahn Eun Jin) with multiple failed marriages who wants to love again. My Dearest airs Friday and Saturday on MBC.
8. The Killing Vote
The Killing Vote focuses on a story where when horrible criminals avoid punishment, a nationwide poll is conducted asking everyone if the criminal should receive the death penalty. If the majority says yes, a mysterious figure known as Dog Mask kills them. The head of an investigation unit (Park Hae Jin), a police officer (Im Ji Yeon), and a legal scholar (Park Sung Woong) who is now in prison become involved in the search for Dog Mask. The Killing Vote airs Thursday on SBS.
9. Behind Your Touch
Behind Your Touch follows the story of people living in the countryside including a veterinarian (Han Ji Min) with psychometric powers and a detective (Lee Min Ki) as they work together to solve crimes. Behind Your Touch airs Friday and Saturday on JTBC.
10. Destined With You
Destined With You is a supernatural romance about a civil servant (Jo Bo Ah) who discovers a cursed book that was banned hundreds of years ago and a talented lawyer (Rowoon) who gets involved in that curse. Destined With You airs Wednesday and Thursday on JTBC.

My Lovely Liar airs Monday and Tuesday on tvN.
Moving
Moving is an action drama about a group of teenagers that keep their superpowers hidden and their parents that hold a secret of their own and try to protect them. Starring Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Jook Jo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun Moving airs Wednesday on Disney+.
The First Responders 2
The First Responders 2 tells stories of the joint response of police and firefighters as they work to save people’s lives during crimes and disasters. It focuses on a detective (Kim Rae Won), a paramedic (Gong Seung Yeon), and a firefighter (Son Ho Jun). The First Responders 2 airs Friday and Saturday on SBS.
My Lovely Boxer
My Lovely Boxer tells the story of a talented boxer (Kim Seo Hye) that gets involved with a sports agent (Lee Sang Yeob) who uses shady methods to bring success to his athletes. My Lovely Boxer airs Monday and Tuesday on KBS.
The Uncanny Counter 2
The Uncanny Encounter 2 is about a group of people (Jo Byung Gyu, Kim Se Jeong, Yu Jung Sang, Yum Hye Ran) with special abilities called Counter who disguise themselves as employees at a noodle restaurant, but they actually hunt evil spirits. The Uncanny Encounter 2 airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.
