Yoo In Young (Let’s Hold Hands and Watch the Sunset) has joined the cast of the new Korean drama Good Casting (or Miss Casting). She will play a single mom who dreams of becoming a NIS agent.

Choi Kang Hee (Mystery Queen 2) was previously confirmed to headline as a woman who used to be a legendary field agent but was transferred to cyber security after an operation went wrong. Kim Ji Young (Here Comes Love) will round out the cast.

Good Casting is a comedy action drama about middle-aged women (Choi Kang Hee, Kim Ji Young, Yoo In Young) who work in the NIS that are struggling to keep their jobs. They are then surprised to suddenly be transferred to the field as undercover agents.

Good Casting is looking to air in late 2019 on SBS.

Well, it seems to be a week for original and fun premises. This one certainly sounds like a fun one as well ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ŠWill be keeping my eyes out for that.
Now…something that is completely off topic but I had to talk to you about it. Early this morning, before heading to work I cam across the trailer for a new Chinese drama. It looks seriously impressive, and will start this week on Viki. Here is a link to the trailer. I wondered if you have heard about it, and are planning on watching it (I will start with it this week! ๐Ÿ˜Š) https://youtu.be/N-i0xTgEzxQ

That it does! Ah yes, I have heard about Novoland: Eagle Flag ๐Ÿ™‚ It does look pretty epic doesn’t it? Chinese dramas are always amazing with the epic historicals. I do have it on my watch list, but I’ll probably try Novoland: The Castle in the Sky first. It came first and was pretty popular. There are several series set in the universe, and I do believe they are standalone, so you don’t have to watch the previous ones. I still don’t have a great track record with cdramas though. Their cinematography, action scenes, and fantasy concepts are on another level, but the dramas are always long and tend to drag. I keep trying though, hehe. Definitely let me know how this one goes for you ๐Ÿ™‚

It totally blew me away this morning: I literally had goosebumps all over me๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
I went to Vicki, and saw that it’s going to start this thursday. I really can’t wait for it! I didn’t know there was something that came before this, but that one doesn’t seem to be on Viki. As for the length, it shows 14 total episodes, so that’s not too long I guess. I will definitely let you know my thoughts on this! (looks like I will finally get to watching a real historical, just not a K-drama lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚).

That’s how I felt watching the trailer too ๐Ÿ™‚ The drama is ongoing, so I believe there are only 14 eps out right now, but there will be 56 total. So you better settle in! lol It would certainly be great for you to get a chance to get in a proper historical ๐Ÿ™‚

Whoa….a total of 56 huh? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Erm…okay lol. Well…I still think I want to give this a go๐Ÿ˜Š It looks way to epic to pass on๐Ÿ˜Š

You definitely should. Besides, if it’s awesome, then the more episodes the better, hehe ๐Ÿ™‚

Novoland: Eagle Flag is one of my current faves. I’m enjoying the story quite a bit and it does look epic.

Just for your info, Novoland: The Castle in the Sky isn’t anywhere near as well made as Eagle Flag. In fact the cheese factor is kinda strong in it but I had fun watching it anyways. ๐Ÿ˜€ And… it does have Zhang Ruo Yun in his mane of glory and blue contacts as the lead, before he made it big. Chen Ruo Xuan, one of the 3 leads in Eagle Flag, is also in Castle in the Sky as one of the mains (Yu Huanzheng). ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, one more thing, Castle has 2 different endings, one happy and the other… less so.

Oooh, that’s good to hear ๐Ÿ™‚ Epic would definitely describe how it looks from the trailers! Yeah, I thought The Castle in the Sky looked quite fun from the trailers. And I can usually handle cheese if everything else is working for me. Haha, it’s so funny when dramas make multiple endings. Choose which one you like! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ah, Novoland: Eagle Flag – one of the current dramas on my roster. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been watching it on the official YT channel, 14 episodes up and 12 are subbed. I’m all up to date too. It’s pretty high quality when it comes to the technical aspects (looks rather epic) and I can’t complain about the acting either. I’m really liking Eagle Flag, it’s been very good so far.

Don’t know if it would be of interest but there is another historical cdrama airing atm, called Untamed. I’m watching that as well. It’s up on Viki (30 epis of 50 released with subs as of today) and also on the official YT channel. Untamed is more of a xianxia (fantasy) than straight up historical. I’ve read most of the web novel it’s based on and watched the S1 of the donghua (anime) so I’m pretty well spoiled for the plot, ha. I’m still enjoying the drama quite a bit though. The two lead actors are rather green still but have nice chemistry and seem to be easing in on their roles as the drama progresses. The original novel is BL but drama itself is all bromantic. ๐Ÿ˜€ Here’s a MV for the main theme song ‘WuJi’ sung by the leads (both are idols btw) https://youtu.be/oAKSQTDDv0A.
