Return Korean Drama - Go Hyun Jung

Well, this isn’t something that happens very often. Go Hyun Jung will be leaving her role in the hit SBS legal mystery drama Return. Statements from SBS and her agency seemed to indicate disagreements between her and the production team. Of course, the disagreements had to have been severe for it to come to this.

Return is right in the middle of it’s run, so this is a huge development for the drama. It has also been winning it’s time slot with impressive ratings each week. Apparently, SBS has already begun looking for an actress to replace Go Hyun Jung’s character. I suppose time will tell what kind of effect this has on the drama as a whole.

Return follows the story of a murder case with the suspect coming from the the elite class.  It airs Wednesday and Thursday on SBS.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo….I love her in this role. Honestly, I don’t like this whole change up. Either end it early or bribe her behind to stay.

I haven’t started Return yet as I plan to marathon it. But this news is so surprising! I’ve heard lots of good things about her in this, so I know how this will alter the drama 🙁

She is a natural in this role. Her acting seems effortless. I don’t understand why they didn’t just drop the PD.

Hmmm…that is very rare for something like this to occur. That is in American dramas this happens all the time. But in Korean dramas? Quite unique. Really sad when a beloved character/actress has to leave like this though 😢

It really is. Yes, it does happen in American dramas, but it’s still more likely to be between seasons. Right in the middle of a season is pretty unusual all around. And this drama has been doing really well, so even more surprising. Definitely a bad situation for everyone 🙁
