Smart Prison Living Korean Drama - Jung Kyung Ho

Yes!!! Jung Kyung Ho (Missing 9) has signed on to star in the upcoming tvN drama Smart Prison Living. Smart Prison Living is a lighthearted black comedy that tells the stories of the everyday lives of prison inmates. Park Hae Soo (Legend of the Blue Sea) has also been cast to star opposite of Jung Kyung Ho. The PD of the Reply Series is on board with one of the junior writers of the Reply Series penning the script.

All they had to say was Jung Kyung Ho and I was already on board for the drama! He can really do it all, so I will be looking forward to whatever he brings to the table. Smart Prison Living is definitely taking on a unique subject. The drama will not be a crime thriller of any sort but will rather be a human drama. The entire team behind the project are known for their very down to earth and realistic slice of life Reply series. And it looks like many of those elements will be carried over into the more unique prison setting.

We also have some of the supporting cast confirmed including Choi Moo Sung (Lookout), Lee Kyu Hyung (Goblin: The Lonely and Great God), Kim Joon Bae (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People), and Kim Sung Chul.

Smart Prison Living is looking to air in October on tvN.

Well…..you can sign me on as well now. As you know I have become a huge fan of him after Heartless City. So, even if this might be a comedy, I am still going to check it out 😊

You’re signed on! Hehe 🙂 As a fellow fan, he alone is reason enough to check it out. And luckily, it sounds like this will be more of slice of life with comedic elements, which I know you tend to like more. And I’m sure there will be plenty of heart and probably bittersweet moments. Looking forward to it 🙂
