7 First Kisses Korean Drama Review

7 First Kisses Lotte Korean Web Drama - Lee Joon Gi, Park Hae Jin, Ji Chang Wook, Kai, Taecyeon, Lee Jong Suk, Lee Min Hoo

7 First Kisses (also called First Kiss for the Seventh Time) is an eight episode fantasy web drama about a woman (Lee Cho Hee) that has never had a boyfriend. A goddess (Choi Ji Woo) appears and grants her the opportunity to meet seven handsome guys for her to choose from for her first kiss.

And the cast of men she has to choose from is beyond your wildest kdrama fantasies: Lee Joon Gi, Park Hae Jin, Ji Chang Wook, EXO’s Kai, Taecyeon, Lee Jong Suk, and Lee Min Ho. Wow!

First off, this web drama is actually a promotion by Lotte Duty Free with all of the actors representing the company. So of course there is plenty of advertising. But to my surprise, there is actually a pretty cute little story in place.

Now this is a total fluff piece meant to just be fun. But overall it is a nice web drama with a little bit of everything: romance, comedy, action, and melodrama. It has an introductory episode to set things up and meet our lucky lady. Then each guy gets his own episode to romance our girl before she decides who she wants.

So just sit back and enjoy the parade of men as they woo our lady. It’s all in good fun with each guy being very distinct and having their own little story to embark on. The short episodes go by quick, and I found the drama to be a cute and fun experience.

I enjoyed each of the guys, but of course, I would have to choose my number one favorite actor Lee Joon Gi to get the girl!

So which of the handsome men would you choose?

My Rating: 7/10

Enjoyable post to read, but I don’t think that I will be checking this series out. Not my cup of tea so to speak (sorry 😊)

  5. Lol are you talking about guys or storylines? Because While Lee Jong Suk takes first in the guys department, he’s actually second to Park Hae-Jin for the story department. ^^

Haha, I guess I was talking about guys. I suspected Lee Jong Suk would be your choice 😉 For story I liked Lee Joon Gi’s and Ji Chang Wook’s the best.

Lee Joon Gi, of course. But the only one I didn’t already know and love was Kai.

Ehhh, all that_almost_ kissing…and no payoff! Arrgh! **cue pouty face** I’d swear LMH was half asleep during his segment.
The Ji Chang Wook segment was the best, followed by the Lee Joon Gi one.

Lol, yes, I really do wish we would have gotten at least one kiss out of that! We think similar on this though. Lee Joon Gi and Ji Chang Wook’s were my favorite stories too 🙂

Haha, well, luckily the whole thing in less than a couple hours in total, so at least it’s not too much of a waste if you don’t like it. But if you don’t mind a little fluff, I thought it was pretty cute 🙂

      • Just 2 eppies left to go, and I’m liking it so far! It’s like a series of full-version Lotte TV commercials strung together into a web drama. It’s cute and entertaining, esp if you go into it without any expectation (or even then… although some of the episodes were better executed than others). My favorite so far, all actor biases aside, is Park Hae-jin’s ‘Dangerous Boss’; seemed the most natural to me. The proof of the pudding will be in the — ending! I’ll see again how I feel after I get to the end 😁

  9. Picking just one is too hard! The thing that killed me was that she only actually kissed one of the guys!

Lee Joon Ki used to be a whole lot better looking BEFORE he got the plastic surgery done. Look carefully at how he looked in Iljimae. Then compare that to how he looked in Arang and the Magistrate. The surgery robbed him of his boyish good looks, making him suddenly a lot older looking, because his facial features became harsher and his nose pointier.

  13. Park Hae Jin is my bae but I find my heart wandering to my Ji Chang Wook oppa as well. Still I thought the Taecyeon story where she found herself in a Makjang was my favourite by far. He may not be the best actor but I laughed so much at her trying to force him to kiss her so it would end.

And then ending… WTAF was that? No clue what happened so I guess the point of the story was “Shop at Lotte”? Or something. Bit disappointing but I suppose we shouldn’t expect too much from what was essentially an ad.

    • Kay says:

Haha, yep, I think the point of the story was just to shop at Lotte too 😉 But I wasn’t expecting much since it was a long ad and mostly it ended up on the fun side. I enjoyed most of the little stories and loved all the poking fun at genres and the actors previous roles. For what it was, it was cute, mindless fun 🙂
