Kwak Shi Yang (Second to Last Love) is the latest to be offered a role in the new tvN drama Chicago Typewriter. Chicago Typewriter follows the modern day story of a bestselling writer, a ghostwriter, and an anti-fan who are reincarnations of writers from the 1930’s during the Japanese occupation. The drama comes from the writer of Kill Me, Heal Me and Moon Embracing the Sun.
Kwak Shi Yang would play a rival to the bestselling author who is a writer and professor as well as be in a love triangle with him.
Offers are still out to Yoo Ah In (Six Flying Dragons) as the bestselling author, Go Kyung Pyo (Jealousy Incarnate) as the ghostwriter, and Im Soo Jung (Time Renegades) as the anti-fan.
Well, we have lots of potential castings! I’m definitely ready for some confirmations and to see really see this drama begin to take shape. Filming is set to begin soon, so hopefully we won’t have to wait long.
Chicago Typewriter is scheduled to premiere in March on tvN.

Hmm, the plot you are describing for this series in the beginning of your post sounds very interesting indeed. Really, this is one of the more original concepts I have read in a while. Cool, another show to keep looking out for 😀

I know! I’m really intrigued with the plot too. It’s unique, and I like this writer. Just hoping we get a good cast in place 🙂

Interesting. Even more interesting the fact that the writer is coming off two good dramas. has me curious about this project.

That’s one of the reasons I’m really interested in this project. I also love the 1930’s, so I’m hoping for a good amount of flashbacks to that time period 🙂
