Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim only aired one episode this week because of the SBS Gayo Daejun, but it still came out on top with high ratings. It brought in an impressive 23.7% for episode 15 on Tuesday.
Hwarang had a pretty interesting week. Without Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim to go against on Monday, Hwarang almost doubled in ratings by bringing in 13.1% for episode 3. But with Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim back in the mix, it fell back to a similar number as last week with 7.5% for episode 4.
Night Light remained in last bringing in 4.4% for episode 11 on Monday and then dipped to 3.8% for episode 12 on Tuesday.
I think this week really highlights that a drama’s competition can really influence the numbers. Hwarang’s great ratings on Monday give an idea of the kind of numbers it might be pulling in consistently if it weren’t up against a ratings giant. But it is still performing decently, so maybe that will continue. I guess we’ll have to wait a few weeks to see how it does once Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim ends.
