Introverted Boss Korean Drama - Yeon Woo Jin

It looks like Yeon Woo Jin (Divorce Lawyer in Love) will be starring in the newΒ tvN drama Introverted Boss. An offer previously went out too Yoon Doo Joon, but he ultimately turned it down. Yeon Woo Jin isΒ joined by Park Hye Soo (Age of Youth) for the lead female role.

The drama comes from the writer of Marriage Not Dating and the PD of Oh Hae Young Again and Marriage Not Dating. Yeon Woo Jin previously worked with theΒ team when he starred in Marriage Not Dating.

Yeo Woo Jin will be playing our introverted boss with Park Hye Soo as an energetic rookie employee at his company who is out for revenge against him. Well that should make for a fun dynamic! This drama sounds like it is right up my alley and will beΒ both fun and heartwarming.

Also in the cast is Yoon Park, Jeon Hyo Sung, Yeh Ji Won, Heo Jung Min, and Gong Sung Yeon.

Introverted Boss is a romantic comedy about a director of a top public relations agency. Everyone thinks he is cold and arrogant, but in reality he is extremely shy and doesn’t even like to leave his house. As he begins to lose what’s important to him, heΒ goes on an emotionalΒ journey to overcome his problems.

Introverted Boss is scheduled to premiere in January 2017 on tvN.

Revenge is always a very good subject to watch. I loved The Innocent Man and the Story of a Man (the latter being pretty heartwrenching as the lead actor committed suicide for real pretty much after this show ended). Both are examples of great revenge stories. This one sounds nice as well πŸ˜€

That it is. This one looks like it will be a romantic comedy though, so the revenge will probably just be for cute laughs in the beginning. I love full on revenge stories like Innocent Man though. I love it when someone goes in for revenge and falls in love with the target. It creates so much tension and drama.

I haven’t watched a full on revenge-love drama in a while. I know the upcoming historical Ruler: Master of the Mask has the girl looking for revenge and it is listed as a melodrama. But I don’t think it will follow along the lines of dramas like Innocent Man. Maybe they’ll come out with one in the coming year πŸ™‚

Let us hope so indeed (although it’s not as if there is not anything to watch yet lol). But yeah I do love those revenge drama’s. The more recent Goodbye mr Black was another good example, although that show was not as good as the Innocent Man. Off topic, Heartless City is just crazy good. Just completed episode 10, with another twist at the end I did not see coming. This is really turning into one of my favorite shows so far πŸ˜€

Yes, Goodbye Mr. Black was a good revenge drama. I didn’t think of it since the target was his friend. Definitely not as good as Innocent Man, but still a solid revenge story.

And yes, Heartless City really nailed it on delivering the twists. I never knew what was what or who was who, lol. Glad you’re loving it πŸ™‚

It is soooo good. I had never seen Kyung Ho Jung before ( I know that is probably very bad πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚) but I pretty much became a fan now. What a terrific actor this guy is: truly amazing. Innocent Man is to date my favorite revenge drama, with the Story of a man a close second (if you have not yet seen this last one, you can watch it on Dramafever for free). It is really worth the watch πŸ˜€

You picked a good drama to start with as an introduction to Jung Kyung Ho. It truly highlights just how talented he is. He is such an intense and very nuanced actor. He’s done several really great dramas. I first saw him in the classic Time Between Dog and Wolf and he was really great.

After only seeing him in Heartless City, it might be hard to picture just how amazing of a comedic actor he is. I would have a hard time choosing whether I prefer him serious or funny. But his comic timing is genius. He always puts forth such memorable performances.

I actually did get through half of Story of Man, but sadly, I ended up dropping it. I actually don’t drop very many dramas, but that is one of the few I have. It just didn’t click with me which was really disappointing because I really like everyone in the main cast. I liked the story and set up for the drama, but it felt very slow to me. A lot of people really like the drama though, and it’s good you did πŸ™‚

I have been looking up on the IMDB on which series/movies he has been playing in. The series Time Between Dog and Wolf was one of the first things my eye fell upon, and actually I watched the first 5 minutes of it yesterday evening with a very cool carchase setting the mood. It already has my interest now πŸ˜€ I have to admit that Story of Man did start off very well, but dropped the ball a bit in the middle. Still, the pace picked up again at the end, and the series ended very well. Kim Kang-woo was very good in it, and that mainly held my interest in the show πŸ˜€ But it doesn’t even come close to Heartless City though lol πŸ˜€

Time Between Dog and Wolf seems like it would really fit your tastes. It is an excellent drama that has this sort of 80s feel to it . Lots of intensity and craziness (definitely a great opening car chase). It happens to star my favorite actor Lee Joon Gi in the lead role. Don’t know if you’ve ever come across him, but he’s another seriously talented actor. The relationship between him and Jung Kyung Ho in the drama is intense and complicated. I also like that some of it is set in Thailand which was something I enjoyed at the beginning of Goodbye Mr. Black. And it is a revenge sort of drama too. I would highly recommend it πŸ™‚

Yeah, I was disappointed I eventually dropped Story of a Man. I was mostly holding on for the cast and hoping it would pick up, but I finally just called it. The completionist in me really dislikes that though πŸ˜›

What usually happens to me when I get really impressed by an actor or actress is that I try to watch as much as I can in which he or she appears. And as such I am definitely going to watch Time Between Dog and Wolf, as the opening scene alone was already enough to capture my attention. I have not yet come across Lee Joon Gi, but as I always like your recommendations, I have noted his name down for future reference. I have seen a trailer for a series in which he appears: two weeks, which looked pretty cool. Haha, yes I am completionist myself, and as such I know the feeling lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well, I hope you enjoy it! It’s a great next drama to watch for Jung Kyung Ho. And it’s also a great introduction to Lee Joon Gi. Definitely one of his most memorable performances (and he has a lot of them). Two Weeks is a really great drama too. I have a list of must watch dramas for other drama fans and that’s one of them πŸ™‚
