Descendants of the Sun Korean Drama - Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo

A second teaser trailer is out for the new KBS drama Descendants of the Sun starring Song Joong Ki (Nice Guy) and Song Hye Kyo (That Winter the Wind Blows). This one has a more flirty tone than the first trailer and our couple actually shares some smiles with us. The two have a playful exchange of words with Song Joong Ki saying, “You don’t have a boyfriend because you’re a doctor, right? Since you’re so busy.” Song Hye Kyo responds with, “You don’t have a girlfriend because you’re a soldier, right? Since it’s too hard.” Song Joong Ki says, “I wonder who will respond?”

Well, that’s fun! Love the flirting. I know I’m ready lots of romance and melodrama with this one. Can’t wait!

Descendants of the Sun is a highly anticipated drama from the writer of Heirs and Secret Garden. It tells the story of a UN captain (Song Joong Ki) and a doctor (Song Hye Kyo) who fall in love while providing aid in a country dealing with a natural disaster and civil strife.

Descendants of the Sun is scheduled to premiere in February on KBS.

It’s been quite the wait for this drama. I’m curious if it’ll live up to the expectations.

  It really has been! I get excited, but I try not to set my expectations too high. I’ve enjoyed two of the writers previous works and love both of the main actors, so I’m pretty hopeful 🙂

      Agree you you both! There’s so much anticipation on this drama. SJK’s first since he returned from military service, the fact that it is pre-produced, two bonafide stars, proven writer…all good stuff right? SJK won’t disappoint me…just hope the final package will live up to expectations….yes…*fingers crossed*

        Same here. No matter what I will enjoy the performances by Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. Really the only thing that ruins a drama for me is boredom. I’m pretty forgiving otherwise. And so far this looks far from boring. Of course, I would love for it to be amazing though 🙂
