Han Ye Seul (Birth of a Beauty) and Sung Joon (High Society) have confirmed they will star in the new JTBC drama Madame Antoine. Madame Antoine tells the story of a fake fortune teller (Han Ye Seul) who has the ability to read other people’s feelings and a top psychologist (Sung Joon) who is amazing at his job, but is insensitive to love. The two will be involved in a “psychological game” with each other as they fall in love. Also recently cast is Jung Jin Woon (Marriage Not Dating) who will play a former athlete.
Madame Antoine certainly has a fun premise. I really enjoy Han Ye Seul as quirky, comedic characters, and this sounds just right for her. It sounds like Sung Joon will play a more cold character. He plays those types of roles well, but I would love to see him in more of a fun character too. I guess we will see how it all plays out.
Madame Antoine is scheduled to premiere in February on JTBC.

I don’t know if I’m interested to watch this one. I haven’t completed any of the leads’ dramas yet…so I’m not really a fan. Let’s see…maybe I’ll change my mind later on 🙂

Yeah, I’m not sure yet either. I loved Han Ye Seul in Fantasy Couple. I actually do really like her in Birth of a Beauty too. It’s more the story that has prevented me from finishing it. I did complete Gu Family Book with Sung Joon, but he was a supporting role (and I didn’t love him in that). I dropped Shut Up Flower Boy Band a few episodes after he took over the lead role. He seemed really boring to me compared with the first guy. But as always, I’ll keep an open mind and see what I think of the trailers and such.
