October is here with new kdramas! We do have a couple of the more creepy, thrilling type of shows on the list to get in the Halloween mood. Let’s see what we have to look forward to in this October 2024 edition of “Korean Dramas You Need to Be Watching.”

1. Family By Choice
Family by Choice is about three people (Hwang In Yeop, Jung Chae Yeon, Bae Hyun Sung) who are not related that lived like they were a family when they were teens, and they reunite 10 years later.
Family by Choice is scheduled to premiere October 9 on JTBC.

2. Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born
Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born is set in the 1950’s and tells the story of a poor woman (Kim Tae Ri) with no education who has an amazing singing voice that joins a theater company to achieve her dreams.
Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born is scheduled to premiere October 12 on tvN.
3. A Virtuous Business
A Virtuous Business follows the growth and friendship of four women (Kim So Yeon, Kim Sun Young, Kim Sung Ryung, Lee Se Hee) who begin selling adult products door-to-door in a rural village in the 90s.
A Virtuous Business is scheduled to premiere October 12 on JTBC.
4. Hellbound 2
Hellbound 2 continues the story of a society where grim reaper-like creatures from Hell come into the world and sentence certain people to death. Starring: Kim Hyun Joo and Kim Sung Cheol
Hellbound 2 is scheduled to premiere October 25 on Netflix.
5. Doubt
Doubt is a psychological thriller about the complicated situation that arises when a top profiler (Han Suk Kyu) discovers a secret about his teenage daughter (Chae Won Bin) that relates to a murder case.
Doubt is scheduled to premiere October 11 on MBC.

6. What Comes After Love
What Comes After Love follows the romance between a Korean woman (Lee Se Young) and a Japanese man (Sakaguchi Kentaro) who fall in love in Japan and then reunite 5 years after they break up in South Korea.
What Comes After Love airs Friday on Coupang Play.
7. The Judge from Hell
The Judge from Hell is about a demon (Park Shin Hye) from hell who takes over the body of a judge to punish those responsible for killing others by sending them to hell. During her mission, she gets involved with a kind-hearted detective (Kim Jae Young).
The Judge from Hell airs Friday and Saturday on SBS.
8. Seoul Busters
Seoul Busters is a comedy crime drama about the skilled leader of a violent crimes unit (Kim Dong Wook) who comes in and transforms the country’s worst violent crime unit into the top one.
Seoul Busters airs Wednesday on Disney+.
9. Iron Family
Iron Family is about a family that has run a laundry business for generations that suddenly comes into money which allows them to pursue their dreams. Starring Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Choi Tae Joon, Sungyeol
Iron Family airs Saturday and Sunday on KBS.
10. Dear Hyeri
Dear Hyeri is a healing romance about an announcer (Shin Hye Sun) who develops Dissociative Identity Disorder after her younger brother disappears and a breakup with her longtime boyfriend (Lee Jin Wook).
Dear Hyeri airs Monday and Tuesday on ENA.

No Gain No Love
No Gain No Love is a romantic comedy about a woman (Shin Min Ah) who enters a fake marriage with a part-time convenience store worker (Kim Young Dae) so that she won’t become disadvantaged.
No Gain No Love airs Monday and Tuesday on TVING.
Pachinko 2
Pachinko 2 is an epic generational tale that chronicles the life of a woman (Kim Min Ha/Youn Yuh Jung) who fell in love during the Japanese occupation of Korea and eventually has to leave her homeland and try to survive.
Pachinko 2 airs Friday on Apple TV+.
DNA Lover
DNA Lover is a romantic comedy that follows the relationship between a genetic researcher (Jung In Sun) trying to find love through genes and a gynecologist (Choi Siwon) that doesn’t believe in fate or marriage.
DNA Lover airs Saturday and Sunday on TV Chosun.
