Korean Drama Update for August 2024

It was the fantasy romantic comedy A Good Day to Be a Dog that I enjoyed during the month of August. Here’s how it went:

A Good Day to Be a Dog

A Good Day to Be a Dog was such a fun watch. It’s a mostly lighter romantic comedy that had a really nice progression. The first third leans pretty silly, the middle third brings in some more serious plot elements, and the latter third gets noticeably heavier.

The romance is very cute with nice individual story arcs. The supporting cast is also great and add a lot of humor to the show. The show had a lot of heart, and I laughed and I cried with this one. I stayed engaged with the story all the way through and just had a lovely time. (A Good Day to Be a Dog Review)

So how was August for you?

Happy drama watching to everyone!

    Dramas finished in August 2024

Connection – an excellent thriller centered on friendship.
    Serendipity’s Embrace – palate cleanser
The Red Sleeve (rewatch) – even better the second time
Bulgasal: Immortal Souls – the plot is a hot mess, but the ending was good. So was the found family dynamic between the characters.

Sounds like a great August 🙂 Serendipity’s Embrace is on my short list. I still need to watch The Red Sleeve, but I never feel ready for the emotional rollercoaster of that one, hehe

    Finished 4 in August:

Miss Night and Day – good overall, more murder mystery than romance but okay.
My Sweet Mobster – really enjoyed this one, very sweet, cute, funny with a healthy dose of a strong back story.
Red Swan – not good at all but short so I was able to finish it. Acting was good and budget was there but too un-realistic and have to leave your brain at the door for most of it.
Serendipity’s Embrace – was hoping for more sparkle. It was okay but could have been so much more with just a little effort.

Rewatched: Healer, Suspicious Partner, and I am not a robot.

Sounds like a decent month overall 🙂 Miss Night and Day, My Sweet Mobster, and Serendipity’s Embrace are on my list. Red Swan is a maybe. Rewatches of Healer, Suspicious Partner, and I am Not a Robot sure sound nice. I love all of those dramas 🙂
