Blackout and Queen Woo seem the most promising.

Added Serendipity’s Embrace, Love Next Door, Bad Memory Eraser, DNA Lover, and No Gain No Love to the watchlist. Hope they are mostly good as I had a dry July. Planning to finish Miss Night and Day, My Sweet Mobster, and Red Swan this weekend.

Your list is looking a whole lot my list, hehe. Really hoping we get some good rom-coms out of that bunch 🙂

A couple of the rom/coms look good. But I learned my lesson. No more waiting several days for the next episode. I’ll wait for the shows to be finished so I can benign watch.

Haha, that’s exactly what I do. I watched a few live shows during my first year watching dramas and then said never again! I can’t handle the wait 😂

Just finished watching My Sweet Mobster. This show was a pleasant surprise. Excellent cast. Not just the main actors but also the supporting cast. While the show has a lot of rom/com it also has crime and a mystery story with several scenes of violence. Sometimes fairly intense.

The romance is excellent. Even the second romance is really good. The competition for the female lead character was well done. The show was excellent in every aspect, thus my high rating.

    Rating 9/10

I’ve been hearing mostly good things about My Sweet Mobster. It’s been on my maybe list, but I’ll probably have to move it to the main Watch List and give it a try. I’m glad you enjoyed it so much 🙂

Just finished watching Miss Day and Night. Very good show though the ending had a long separation of the main couple. I hate long separations in shows. There were a few things that didn’t make sense or weren’t explained at the ending. Thus, the ending was okay but defiantly lacking. Good mystery about an ax murder serial killer.

Lee Jung-Eun was excellent as the middle-aged Miss Day. And Jung Young-Joo was a scene stealer as the female leads mom.

That one is on my watch list. It looks fun. I’m glad you mostly enjoyed despite a few things and the ending. I really like Lee Jung Eun and knew she would be great in a role like this 🙂

Started watching Serendipity’s Embrace without realizing it’s a new show, thus I have to wait for episodes. AHHHH!

This is a romance drama. So far, it’s excellent. Main couple have great chemistry, second romance has just started and has potential. The competition for the lead female character is a character you love to hate.

Whoops!! 😅 At least it’s a shorter drama so not as much waiting. I’ll be checking it out for Kim So Hyun and was hoping the romance would be good 🙂

Just finished watching the Japanese show Midnight Snack. I would describe it as a light drama. Overall a very good show. The overall mode of the show is mellow. and at fist this was a bit of a turnoff, being use to K and C dramas where most of the characters are full of energy (at the ones I usually watch). But I was able to still get into the characters. The show is about a young chef who meets a depressed woman at night and convinces her to let him make a meal for her in her apartment. They then meet once a week at midnight where he cook her a meal. Cooking is a big part of the show and it’s done well and enhances the story. There is more to the story but enough. The show’s mood is somewhat different but does make for an interesting show. Oh, there’s much less background music in the show then the K & C shows. That’s a plus with me. Rating 9/10

That does sound like a sweet drama 🙂 I’ve enjoyed a couple of jdramas, but I don’t gravitate towards them like I do kdramas. A lot of them definitely have a more low-key vibe. Fans of more realistic, slice-of-life type dramas tend to do well with them. I guess I prefer the grander and more flashy kdramas, lol 😅

Just finished watching Serendipity’s Embrace. Excellent show. Kim So Hyun is great. While the ending is good it’s the typical Kdrama ending that as me wanting a more definitive ending. Rating: 8.5/10

Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed it all the way through (and the wait wasn’t too long!). I’m looking forward to it 🙂

Just finished the first three episodes of Love Andante. It is the story of a North Korean who is a famed violinist who meets a South Korean man who is a famous pianist. She is the daughter of a high ranking North Korean official Good humor and interesting story. It has taken me completely by surprise with how good it is. Has music involved in the story which is a positive.

That one sounds really nice. I like the plot description a lot. Hopefully it stays good all the way through 🙂

Love Andante. Great story but a terrible ending. The acting was very good but a very sad and open ending. The start of the series was very good with music and dancing by the main couple but there was not much of that later in the show. If you like your romances and shows to have happy endings with closure then this isn’t the show for you.

Also the fact the recently that Kim Jong Un declared he was against rejoining of the North and South cast a shadow over this show about the two Koreas getting together.

It’s good it was a mostly enjoyable drama, but too bad about the ending. Sounds like it had a lot going for it overall though.

Just finished watching the 2020 Cdrama “Time to Fall in Love”. I have mixed feelings on this one. Here’s the good: both the main couple and the second couple are quite cute. The ending is very good. The bad people are the type of villains you love to hate.
The bad: too much drama. It was one crises after another . Not enough screen time for the romance. Way too many “why did she do that” “why did he say that” “that doesn’t make sense”. I like my romance shows to be more simpler.
I see on-line that the show got excellent reviews so I guess I’m in the minority.
    My rating: 7.5/10

Sounds like a more melo sort of show with all of the drama. I definitely enjoy shows with lots of drama as long as it’s not just based on miscommunication. I need a bit bigger stakes, lol.
