Added the first 7 on the list to my watchlist and currently watching Twinkling Watermelon and Destined with You which are both very good!

That’s a lot to add to your list! hehe. Although, I think I’ve got most of them on mine too 🤣

I just finish watching Behind Your Touch. It’s not very. good. While the mystery is okay everything else is 2nd rate. Lot’s of “that doesn’t make sense” moments. There’s very little romance. SPOILER: In fact the guy she winds up with at the very end treated her badly throughout the show, Insulting her, bullying her and even indirectly responsible for the murder of the main she truly loved. 6/10

That’s too bad that it ended up being not very good. The trailers alone didn’t really sell me on it, and then the fan reaction hasn’t been that great. Too bad with two good actors in the lead roles.

After the disappoint of Behind Your Touch the drama gods took pity on me and sent me the Chinese show Fireworks Of My Heart. Great show. Rich family disapproves of daughters poor boyfriend. Wonderful romantic interactions between the main characters, lots of display of affection. And even several times of the couple in bed together. All suitable for a TV audience of course. All this happens fairly early in the show, no waiting for the end for the couple to get together.

Warning! This has happened to me with a few Chinese dramas. Like many dramas there is a preview at the start of each episode. But sometimes the preview is not just of the new episode but a synopsis of the whole show. Thus disclosing the ending.

Ah that’s wonderful! It’s so nice to follow up a disappointing drama with a really good one 🙂 It sounds really nice. Yes, I’ve had many cdramas where the intro music montage shows scenes from the entire drama which always spoils things. I usually try not to watch the opening anymore because of that, hehe 😅

Just finished the show. Here: my mini review: Excellent show! An excellent blend of action and romance. Plenty of displays of affection. Even the romance between the supporting characters was very good. The special effects were outstanding.

        1. Kay Avatar

Ooh, that does sound nice! I may have to add it to my extended watch list, hehe 🙂

Just watched the first episode of Strong Girl Nam-soon. It was good. I hope the rest will be the same and I don’t have to go thru several episodes before liking it.

    1. Kay Avatar

I hope so too. It’s never fun having to go through several episodes to get to get to the good stuff.

I’m giving up on this one. Usually I know that sometimes it takes several episodes to really get into a show. But, except for the first episode, I just don’t like it. Unlikeable characters, violence not done right (I’m usually ok with movie violence) and a poor script.

      1. Kay Avatar

I know the feeling. I too like to give a drama a chance since yes, it does takes a few episodes sometimes to really have everything come together. But sometimes, a show just isn’t working, and it’s best to move on. There are too many dramas out there that we will enjoy to give too much time to a bad one.

Castaway Diva is on my October pick too.

    1. Kay Avatar

That one looks really fun, and I usually enjoy the writer, so I’m hopeful it will be a good one 🙂

Just finished watching Love the Way You Are (2020 Chinese). Rich family doesn’t want daughter to be with poor man. And she’s 7 years older than him. The backstory is livestreaming, podcasts, and influencers. All modern up to date topics. 30 episodes But about episode 27 the writers must of seen I was getting bored with the lead couple and a major shift happened. The two supporting cast romances, which were real good, got a lot more screen time AND the those romances had definitive endings.. Almost as much as the two leads. I’ve never seen that in a K or C drama.

    1. Kay Avatar

That is a surprising turn to happen late in a drama like that! I’ve seen the second lead suddenly getting a lot more screen time in the end before, but I can’t recall that happening with second romances.

Just finished watching Page Turner. Only 3 episodes (1 hour and fifth minutes each), Very emotional and powerful. Stars Kim So-Hyun and Ji Soo, who was really good. f you love dramas with a lot of classical music this may be for you. SPOILER The story is: Talented pianist goes blind and the guy that helps her return to the piano. She helps him discover himself and his hidden musical talent.

    1. Kay Avatar

Yes, Page Turner is just a great mini drama! I really enjoyed it too. Agree, very emotional and powerful. Glad you liked it 🙂

Actually, I loved the show but not the ending.
