August has quite a nice sized line-up of new kdrama premieres check out. Let’s see what we have to look forward to in this August 2023 edition of “Korean Dramas You Need to Be Watching.” This monthly series is meant to keep you updated on what’s happening in that amazing world of Korean dramas so that you don’t miss out on anything! Here are the kdramas you should keep an eye out for in August 2023:

1. My Dearest
My Dearest is a historical romance set during the Joseon dynasty during wartime about a man (Nam Goong Min) with a tragic past and no desire to marry who falls for a charming noblewoman (Ahn Eun Jin) with multiple failed marriages who wants to love again. My Dearest is scheduled to premiere August 4 on MBC.
PREMIERING IN AUGUST:
2. The Killing Vote
The Killing Vote focuses on a story where when horrible criminals avoid punishment, a nationwide poll is conducted asking everyone if the criminal should receive the death penalty. If the majority says yes, a mysterious figure known as Dog Mask kills them. The head of an investigation unit (Park Hae Jin), a police officer (Im Ji Yeon), and a legal scholar (Park Sung Woong) who is now in prison become involved in the search for Dog Mask. The Killing Vote is scheduled to premiere August 10 on SBS.
3. The First Responders 2
The First Responders 2 tells stories of the joint response of police and firefighters as they work to save people’s lives during crimes and disasters. It focuses on a detective (Kim Rae Won), a paramedic (Gong Seung Yeon), and a firefighter (Son Ho Jun). The First Responders 2 is scheduled to premiere August 4 on SBS.
4. Behind Your Touch
Behind Your Touch follows the story of people living in the countryside including a veterinarian (Han Ji Min) with psychometric powers and a detective (Lee Min Ki) as they work together to solve crimes. Behind Your Touch is scheduled to premiere August 4 on JTBC.
5. Destined With You
Destined With You is a supernatural romance about a civil servant (Jo Bo Ah) who discovers a cursed book that was banned hundreds of years ago and a talented lawyer (Rowoon) who gets involved in that curse. Destined With You is scheduled to premiere August 23 on JTBC.
6. Moving
Moving is an action drama about a group of teenagers that keep their superpowers hidden and their parents that hold a secret of their own and try to protect them. Starring Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Jook Jo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun Moving is scheduled to premiere August 9 on Disney+.
7. My Lovely Boxer
My Lovely Boxer tells the story of a talented boxer (Kim Seo Hye) that gets involved with a sports agent (Lee Sang Yeob) who uses shady methods to bring success to his athletes. My Lovely Boxer is scheduled to premiere August 21 on KBS.
CURRENTLY AIRING IN AUGUST:
8. My Lovely Liar
My Lovely Liar is a mystery romance that tells the story of a woman (Kim So Hyun) who has the supernatural ability to hear lies. Her power has caused her much disappointment in people, but she uses it to see the truth and becomes involved with a man suspected of murder who no one believes. My Lovely Liar airs Monday and Tuesday on tvN.
9. The Uncanny Counter 2
The Uncanny Encounter 2 is about a group of people (Jo Byung Gyu, Kim Se Jeong, Yu Jung Sang, Yum Hye Ran) with special abilities called Counter who disguise themselves as employees at a noodle restaurant, but they actually hunt evil spirits. The Uncanny Encounter 2 airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.
10. King the Land
King the Land is a romantic comedy about the chaebol heir of King group (Junho) who hates fake smiles and an employee of King Hotel (Yoona ) who always has to smile because of her job. King the Land airs Saturday and Sunday on JTBC.

Miracle Brothers
Miracle Brothers is a mystery drama about an aspiring writer (Jung Woo) who is in debt and a mysterious young man (Bae Hyun Sung) with telepathic powers. Miracle Brothers airs Wednesday and Thursday on JTBC.
Not Others
Not Others is a comedy about a charming but clumsy physical therapist (Jeon Hye Jin) and her daughter (Sooyoung) who is a police officer that encounter challenges while living together. Not Others airs Monday and Tuesday on ENA.
