Unlock My Boss Korean Drama - Chae Jong Hyeop

For the month of May, I got in the mystery comedy drama Unlock My Boss which was good.  Here’s how it went:

Unlock My Boss Korean Drama - Chae Jong Hyeop and Seo Eun SooUnlock My Boss

Unlock My Boss has a quirky premise with the concept of a CEO getting trapped inside of a smartphone. It grabbed my attention, and it was a solid drama. The story was paced well with a couple of nice twists, and the characters were interesting. There is also a bit of a slow burn romance to enjoy that was nice to see take shape.

We get a nice mixture of genres too. The mystery element moved things along while the heart and humor delivered thoughtful moments along the way. Overall, it was a good watch. (Unlock My Boss Review)

So how was May for you?

Happy drama watching to everyone!

    I fnished 4 and dropped 3 in May. 3 I finished:

Delivery Man/Ghost Taxi which was enjoyable. Good story, episodic early episodes with murder mystery taking over the 2nd half. Only 12 episodes so it never felt draggy.

Secret Romantic Guesthouse which I absolutely adored. A good mix of romance, action, political intrigue, fun. Good on all fronts.

Bo Ra! Deborah was my favorite for the month because it pushed all of my rom com buttons. I enjoyed it so much I’ve added it to my re-watch list when I want something cute and fluffy. It also seemed to lean more on the grown up side of relationships, especially the friend/married couple.

Heartstrings – I finished this last night and ended up watching more of it than I’d planned. I did fastforward through a fair bit of it but all in all I found it cute and entertaining. Fun to watch some of those actors when they were much younger. Shocked to find Moon Ga Young among the crowd 🙂

The 3 that I dropped were The Love in Your Eyes, Never Twice, and The Real has Come. They were all long (100 episode) soapy/daytime type dramas which I’ve usually had good luck with in the past but for some reason none of these 3 had anything to hold my attention and I gave them all a fair watch before deciding to drop. Too many unlikeable characters to stick with.

Currently watching Unlock my boss (thanks to your review, Kay!), and My Perfect Stranger.

That’s a pretty decent month 🙂 It’s great that Delivery Man ended being good despite starting out episodic.

And yay that you loved 2 dramas! Both Secret Romantic Guesthouse and Bo Ra! Deborah look fun to me and are on my list. Glad you liked Heartstrings too. I watched that years ago and had mixed feelings about it. It’s a classic though 🙂

I hope Unlock My Boss and My Perfect Stranger go well for you!

    I finished 2 dramas in May 2023:

Lost – slow and melancholy drama dealing with heavy topics such as depression and suicide. The actors did a great job, and the show ended on hopeful note.

Under The Queen’s Umbrella – a great sageuk with a little bit of everything: romance, intrigue, and mystery. No tragic swordsmen, but there were plenty of scheming concubines.

Currently watching: The Secret Romantic Guesthouse and Giant.

Lost did sound like a pretty heavy drama. Definitely one you want to be in the right mood for. Under the Queen’s Umbrella sounds fun. It flew a bit under the radar. Good luck with Secret Romantic Guesthouse and Giant 🙂

Just one finished drama for me – Oh No, Here Comes Trouble… which I loved. I dropped SO many after couple of episodes. It’s been epicly hard finding something that fits me.. quite a few start out kinda interesting but soon fizzle out, turn boring or end up having too much of The Stupid.

It’s always a good month if you have a drama you love even if many others bit the dust, hehe. Hopefully, another good one can rise above soon 🙂
