Korean Drama Update for September 2022

Alchemy of Souls Korean Drama - Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min

I watched the amazing drama Alchemy of Souls for the month of September. Here’s how it went:

Alchemy of Souls Korean Drama - Lee Jae Wook and Jung So MinAlchemy of Souls

I loved Alchemy of Souls! This kind of drama is my bread and butter. It has a little bit of everything with history, fantasy, action, romance, heart, and humor. And it was a fun and thrilling ride from start to finish!

It’s a world of magic, mages, and epic battles. I was always interested to find out what would happen next and was never bored. It has a huge cast of characters that were all fantastic including our main duo of Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min. Their relationship was so unique with many complex and interesting elements.

Alchemy of Souls was an amazing ride and such a fun experience. I was engaged and fully absorbed into the world. It’s a high fantasy blockbuster that was truly fantastic. (Alchemy of Souls Review)

    Hi Kay,
    It’s been awhile.
I hope to read your review on AOSs. I’ve heard so many good things about it and mystery is my element. I have also been looking to see that guy in the lead role again since his subtle but beautiful performance in I’ll go to you when the weather is nice.

Now, about my September, i watched Youth of May; a very beautiful drama❤️ I also watched Melting me softly which i loved a lot😁 it was light and i laughed so much. The lead couple’s chemistry was interesting to watch. I also happened to start on Backstreet rookie but the reviews discouraged me a bit. Hopefully i will get back to it for because i like the main couple.

Now the main drama of the month however is, That winter the, the wind blows😘 Its a classic of 2013. Am very much wrapped around it and loving it so. I like the main hero very much, i hadn’t seen him before but he is something. And then Song hye cho is so believable as the blind and cunning heroine. I think this is her best performance so far, on my side.
I hope to finish it today.

So, my dear that’s how my September has been😌

Hi Jermena! Yes, it has. So glad to hear from you. I hope you’re still doing well 🙂

I hope you get a chance to check out Alchemy of Souls. It was such a fantastic drama. Definitely my favorite of the year so far 🙂

You’ve been getting in some interesting dramas. I’ve heard such good things about Youth of May. And yay that you loved Melting Me Softly! That one got such bad reviews from most fans, but I ended up loving it.

Backstreet Rookie also got bad reviews, so I can see why you were discouraged. I thought it was an okay drama. It had some big negatives, but it was also light and fun. Just kind of depends what you’re looking for in a drama and not expecting too much.

And I love That Winter the Wind Blows! Such a classic. I love old-school romance melos like that. They don’t really make them like that anymore which is sad. It’s such a heavy but beautiful drama.

It sounds like you had a pretty good September 🙂

Hi Kay – I completed two dramas this month. One was a web drama called ‘Kiss Goblin’ and the other one was ‘Military Prosecutor Doberman’. I gave 10/10 for both. There is no romance in Military Prosecutor Doberman at all but I enjoyed it so much. The story was really good and the ending was satisfying. This was a surprise hit for me.

Hi D! Ooh, a solid month for you 🙂 I remember Kiss Goblin coming out a couple of year ago but didn’t hear much about it. I may have to check it out. And I’ve lots of good things about Military Prosecutor Doberman. I’m glad that it was a nice surprise and so enjoyable for you 🙂

I finished my rewatch of My Country. Excellent acting performances, but the plot developments in the last two episodes still feel confusing. I liked the music and the clothes though.

  4. Oh I’ve heard such great things about Alchemy of Souls!
I haven’t been watching any dramas as of late which is sad 😦 I’m hoping to get back to watching soon! And AoS is at the top of my list!
