Arthdal Chronicles 2 Korean Drama - Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung

Lee Joon Gi (Again My Life) and Shin Se Kyung (Run On) have been offered starring roles in season 2 of the Korean drama Arthdal Chronicles. Season 1 featured Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won as the leads playing Eun Seom and Tan Ya. Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung would take over these roles with the characters being 10 years older.

Arthdal Chronicles is an epic historical set in ancient times with a story that blends myth and history as a power struggle ensues in the land of Arth.

Production for season 2 is hoping to begin later in 2022.

Not a happy camper here. I’ve never done well with replacement actors. 😕 My brain is wired stuck.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of replacements either. I quite liked Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won in the roles, and would prefer them to return. It’s hard to adjust to new actors. Of course, it they have to be replaced, Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung are two of my faves, so I’ll take what I can get, lol.

It just seems like we’ve waited this long, can’t they wait a bit longer by coordinating with the stars’ schedules? Or maybe the stars just don’t want to come back and that’s the real reason.🤔

This is why I’ll forever love Ben Browder. Back in the day when Farscape ended unexpectedly on a HUGE cliffhanger. While waiting for fans, with help, to raise money for a movie to finalize the series, he was offered the lead road on Stargate Atlantis. He turned it down to finish the movie out of love for the fans. And later he accepted the role on Stargate SG-1, not as a replacement for Richard Dran Anderson (because who could?), but as lead but as a different character. ❤❤❤💜💜💜💜

I agree. It would be nice if they just could have waited. I also kind of wondered if the actors weren’t too keen on returning. They probably would have if the second season had happened right away as planned, but between it not doing quite as well as hoped and scheduling issues, they might have been ready to just move on.

It’s nice when actors hold out, especially when there are dedicated fans waiting. I haven’t see Farscape, but I can imagine how happy that made fans. Sadly, that doesn’t look likely with Arthdal. I’m curious if any of the main cast will come back for season 2 🙁

Kay, just in case you ever do decide to check out Farscape, just know that the first season sucks but the remaining seasons are so worth it.

Always good to know. I appreciate the heads up. Some shows just take some warming up 🙂
