Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi Korean Drama - Jo Byung Gyu

Jo Byung Gyu (The Uncanny Counter) has been offered a starring role in the new Korean historical drama Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi. Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi is about secret royal inspectors that go undercover to reveal corruption which includes the youngest secret royal inspector who is intelligent but has no goals.

Jo Byung Gyu would take on the role of the youngest royal inspector. The drama comes from the writer of Handsome Guy and Jung Eum.

Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi is planning to air in the second half of 2021 on tvN.

    Isn’t this the same as the one currently showing??? What’s with this? The first time I saw a korean drama being imitated/duplicated right after the showing…. Can someone explain?

      It does have a similar sounding plot for sure. Similar drama themes do pop up in groups quite frequently though. Hopefully, the plot is different enough so they don’t feel too alike.
