Lee Shi Young (Sweet Home) and Park Shi Hoo (King Maker: The Change of Destiny) are in talks for lead roles in the new Korean drama The Mentalist. The Mentalist is based on the American crime series about a “psychic” who uses mind tricks to help an agent track down a serial killer who murdered his family.
Park Shi Hoo would take on the role of the psychic with Lee Shi Young as the agent. The Mentalist is looking to air sometime in 2021.
Hi there, I ended up in this site after googling Park Shi Hoo’s latest news because he seems just disappeared into thin air- I saw someone uploaded a video he’s in hospital, and suspected with leukemia in Tiktok, so I try to find more news about it and don’t have any– and I have no idea why google bring me to here. I didn’t know he was casted in The Mentalist but this news was already 2 years ago, I check and there are no any new news about this drama, and the video I found was taken in September 2022, so is it possible they cancel his casting because PSH is ill? (Still wondering why no any news about it in Soompi or Allkpop?)
I wonder did you have any news regarding PSH is ill??

Hi Raqeul. I haven’t heard any news about Park Shi Hoo in particular recently. I’ve heard 2024 being mentioned as the potential release date for The Mentalist is some of the fan sites. Nothing concrete though.

Hello Raquel. I met Park in his fan meeting on October 2023. thank goodness, he’s fully recovered and doing just fine. Although a bit too skinny. He currently confirmed to star in a musical movie “God’s Band” as North Korean soldier. He also will appear in TV Chosun’s variety show “Dad & Me” with his father. As for Mentalist, his manager has said it’s suspected to air in June 2024. That his latest news!
