Joo Won and Kim Hee Sun Encounter Time Travel in First Trailer for “Alice”

Alice Korean Drama - Joo Won and Kim Hee Sun

I’ve been looking forward to a trailer for this for a while! Here’s our first look at the upcoming Korean drama Alice starring Joo Won (My Sassy Girl) and Kim Hee Sun (Room No. 9). It’s pretty exciting as we see the lives of Joo Won and Kim Hee Sun, some interesting declarations, and how time travel has complicated things. Looks fun!

Alice is a sci-fi drama about a detective (Joo Won) without emotions who discovers something called Alice that allows time travelers to come from the future, and he is reunited with a woman (Kim Hee Sun) who died many years ago.

Alice is looking to air in the first half of 2020 on SBS.

This sound like an interesting premise but kdramas often make a mess of it when scifi/fantasy is added to the mix. I’m also one of those who don’t think much of Joo Won’s acting ability, but maybe he’s found new depths in himself while in the army. 🙂

I’m definitely liking the premise of this one as I’m a sucker for all things time travel 🙂 I think the sci-fi stories are usually done well, though there are frequently some plot loop holes here and there. Luckily, Joo Won is also one of my faves as I find him to be an incredible actor and is one who can really move me. I never love seeing the character description as emotionless though as I find it stunts what they can do with the character. There are some exceptions where the actor really shines through despite that though, so hopefully that will be one of these times 🙂
