A Dramatic Dance By a Masked Clown in First Teaser Trailer for Korean Drama “The Crowned Clown”

The Crowned Clown Korean Drama - Yeo Jin Goo

Now this is a drama I am highly anticipating! We are starting the new year off right with the premiere of a historical with the tvN drama The Crowned Clown (also known as Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King) starring Yeo Jin Goo (Reunited Worlds) and Lee Se Young (Hwayugi).

We’ve got our first teaser trailer which shows a very dramatic dance performed by our clown. He then removes his mask to reveal himself as our star Yeo Jin Goo. Ahhh! I love it already! It’s just a teaser, but it just adds to my excitement. I will be anxiously waiting for more!

The Crowned Clown follows the story of a king (Yeo Jin Goo) who fears for his life so he brings in a kind look-a-like clown to stand in for him. A love triangle will also ensue between the two and the queen (Lee Se Young).

The Crowned Clown is scheduled to premiere January 7, 2019 on tvN.

They changed title again. I hope they stick to that headline “The Man Who Became King” because it sounds more intriguing for me. 🙂

Yeah, it amazes me how many titles dramas go through sometimes. I’m torn because I like them both. The Man Who Became King Sounds more dramatic while The Crowned Clown is very unique. But I guess I’m watching it no matter what it gets named! lol
