MBC Decides Not to Air the Spy Thriller “Prometheus”

Untouchable Korean Drama - Jin Goo

More bad news for the spy thriller Prometheus. It seems that MBC has decided not to air the drama on its network. It also recently lost its female lead, Ha Ji Won (Hospital Ship), due to scheduling conflicts, so this is definitely not a great development.

I’m not sure if this means the project is dead or if another network will eventually pick up the big budget drama. We all know of another drama, Park Hae Jin’s Four Men, which went through a lot of production issues, but things are well under way with that one now and looking like it will make it to air. So maybe the same will happen here. We shall see.

Prometheus is an action spy drama about a North Korean military officer (Jin Goo) who ends up working in South Korea and a NIS agent who goes undercover to work on the denuclearization of North Korea. It comes from the PD of other action dramas such as IRIS and Chuno.

Hmm…that really doesn’t bode very well for this drama 😢😢 Honestly even though I am not a huge spy fan as I have often said, this one sounded pretty good.
