An Empress' Dignity Korean Drama - Jang Na Ra

I’m excited to see that Jang Na Ra (Go Back Couple) is now confirmed to star in the new SBS drama An Empress’ Dignity. She will play a musical actress who marries a modern day emperor.

She joins the already confirmed Shin Sung Rok (Retrun) who will play the emperor as well as Choi Jin Hyuk (Devilish Joy) as a palace bodyguard. The drama will be penned by the writer of Temptation of a Wife and comes from the PD of Return.

This cast is really something! And I’m so intrigued with this drama being a modern day monarchy. I hope we get some good thrills and a solid mystery with one. But I can’t wait to see it play out regardless!

An Empress’ Dignity is set in a fictional South Korea which operates under a constitutional monarchy. It follows a musical actress (Jang Na Ra) who marries the emperor (Shin Sung Rok) and becomes involved in the palace power struggle and a mysterious murder.

An Empress’ Dignity is looking to air in November on SBS.

This DOES sound very interesting especially since it’s a story we haven’t really seen before. Usually these are more historical kinds of dramas. Well, guess we have to wait how this will end up, but I like the concept 😊

  Agree. This is a unique premise, and we have only had a few dramas set in a fictional modern day Korean monarchy. That makes it very appealing 🙂
