It was another good week for Mr. Sunshine starring Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri as it brings in more fantastic numbers in Nielsen drama ratings. It brought in 12.9% for episode 15 on Saturday and then increased to 15% for episode 16 on Sunday. That is a slight dip from last week, but those numbers are certainly nothing to scoff at as they are still very high.
Mr. Sunshine is set during the early 1900’s and is about the romance of a soldier (Lee Byung Hun) and an aristocrat’s daughter (Kim Tae Ri). It follows the story of the soldier who got on a U.S. military expedition as a child and grew up in America. As an adult, he then returns to Korea as a soldier during the final years of the Joseon era. It comes from writer Kim Eun Sook of hits such as Goblin and Descendants of the Sun.
Mr. Sunshine airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.
