Shin Ha Kyun Confirmed for Korean Drama “Luther”

Luther Korean Drama - Shin Ha Kyun

Shin Ha Kyun (Pied Piper) is now confirmed to star in the new MBC drama Luther. He will play the main detective of the series. So we have a solid lead in place and now we wait to see who else joins the cast alongside him.

Luther is a crime drama that is a remake of the British series of the same name about a detective (Shin Ha Kyun) who is tormented by the crimes he solves.

Luther is looking to air in late 2018 on MBC.

    It will be interesting to see where they are going to take this. As I mentioned before the original Luther is a terrific series, very dark, but incredibly well acted by Idris Elba. But we all know that the Koreans are also able to invoke that dark atmosphere. Will be looking forward to the first trailer 😊

      Agree, it will be very interesting to see the direction they go with it. I do know they will add that Korean flair to it that makes their dramas unique. I’ll look forward to that first trailer too 🙂

    Well, this ain’t OCN or even TvN, so no telling how dark it’ll be.

    Even if I tend to like most crime shows, there’s always fiew that just don’t work for me, for whatever reason. Luther was one of those, I never finished S1. It’s a well made show though and Idris Elba is great in it.

      Yeah, I thought this would be a better fit for OCN or tvN. The main networks don’t usually go very dark. Although Return was quite dark earlier this year, and I was kind of surprised it wasn’t on cable. But it sounds like Luther has pretty solid source material to work with. Maybe this would be a time you like the kversion better 🙂
