And the numbers just keep going up for Mr. Sunshine starring Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri in Nielsen drama ratings. This week it brought in 11.1% for episode 7 on Saturday and made it to another series high of 12.3% for episode 8 on Sunday. The numbers certainly are impressive as we are about a third of the way through its run. Each week has brought increases, so we will see if the trend continues.
Mr. Sunshine is set during the early 1900’s and is about the romance of a soldier (Lee Byung Hun) of the righteous army and an aristocrat’s daughter (Kim Tae Ri). It follows the story of the soldier who got on a U.S. military expedition as a child and grew up in America. As an adult, he then returns to Korea as a soldier during the final years of the Joseon era. It comes from writer Kim Eun Sook of hits such as Goblin and Descendants of the Sun.
Mr. Sunshine airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.

That’s a good sign I would say. I have fallen behind on this one (no suprise coming from me I guess lol, but I hope to catch up to it this week). 😊

Yes, you don’t want to end up like Goblin where you were ahead of me for months then I swooped in and finished it before you, hehe 🙂

Kim Eun Sook is a sure shot writer in terms of high ratings!
I did like Mr. Sunshine in its first week but then it started making me feel bored with its slow pace and unnecessary elongated scenes..so I dropped for other better dramas…it is very beautiful though
