My ID is Gangnam Beauty Korean Drama - Cha Eun Woo and Lim Soo Hyang

We now have our first trailer released for the upcoming JTBC drama My ID is Gangnam Beauty starring Astro’s Cha Eun Woo (The Best Hit) and Lim Soo Hyang (Criminal Minds). It shows the struggles our heroine Lim Soo Hyang faces at school as well as some interactions with her and Cha Eun Woo. It looks like it could be a cute romantic comedy.

My ID is Gangnam Beauty is based on a webtoon about a timid and unattractive girl (Lim Soo Hyang) who was bullied in high school. She eventually gets plastic surgery to look beautiful and begins attending college, but people are still cruel to her. A romance begins to blossom with another student (Cha Eun Woo) who doesn’t care about looks.

My ID is Gangnam Beauty is scheduled to premiere July 27 on JTBC.

Well…that was fast. I think it was yesterday when I said I would have to see a trailer in order to judge if this was something I would enjoy and here it is. Hmm…well…I think this is probably going to end up being more of a comedy, so unless I’m really mistaking this probably isn’t really going to be for me 😊

Yeah, I actually thought about that when I saw the trailer and was thinking this would probably be an easy pass for you. Ah well, not like you have a shortage of dramas to choose from!

If this is a rom com I’m in but I really don’t like the idea of plastic surgery to look beautiful.

Yeah, I don’t really like the idea either, but since the premise is supposed to involve the guy not really caring about looks, hopefully this will have a positive message in the end. Hopefully, she will find confidence in herself rather than her looks.

        I hope so.
