We finally have our main cast in place for the upcoming drama Absolute Boyfriend (also called Romantic Comedy King). Yeo Jin Goo (Reunited Worlds), Girl’s Day’s Minah (Beautiful Gong Shim), and Hong Jong Hyun (The Kings Loves) will be starring. We have Yeo Jin Goo as a robot created to be the perfect boyfriend, Minah as a make-up artist, and Hong Jong Hyun as a top star.

Early reports had stated that Chun Jung Myung (Master: God of Noodles) and Song Ji Hyo (My Wife’s Having an Affair This Week) would be starring in the drama, but it was later revealed that they had both declined the roles.

Wow! I absolutely love how this casting shaped up. I’m a huge fan of Yeo Jin Goo and also love Hong Jong Hyun. And Minah was completely wonderful in her last drama Beautiful Gong Shim, so I’m excited to see her again. I really can’t wait to check this drama out!

Absolute Boyfriend is a remake of the Japanese manga and drama of the same name. It tells the story of a make-up artist struggling with her love life who ends up with the perfect robot boyfriend. It comes from the writer of Mirror of the Witch and the PD of Flower Boy Next Door.

Absolute Boyfriend is looking to air sometime this year.
