Woo Do Hwan and Joy Offered Lead Roles in Korean Drama “Great Seducer”

Great Seducer Korean Drama - Woo Do Hwan and Joy

Woo Do Hwan (Mad Dog) and Red Velvet’s Joy (The Liar and His Lover) are now up to star in the new MBC drama Great Seducer (previously known as Love Game: The Great Seduction).

Great Seducer is an adaptation of the classic Korean film Untold Scandal and will move the story to modern day Seoul where a dangerous love game ensues. Previous adaptations involved a story of two rich elites who make a bet that if the one man can sleep with a virtuous woman he will then be allowed to sleep with the woman he really wants.

Yeo Jin Goo was previously up to play the lead, but he has since bowed out. That definitely leaves me sad! But Woo Do Hwan is now considering the role and should be a decent replacement to play our womanizing chaebol heir who takes up the bet when he finds himself in a bad situation.

Joy would be a woman who is respected and seen as a role model and becomes the target of Woo Do Hwan. So despite losing Yeo Jin Goo, I like this potential cast and am really excited to see this story play out!

Great Seducer is looking to air in early 2018 on MBC.

  1. Sounds like a plot from a romance novel. LOL. But I think I would still be interested in watching it when it comes out.

That is does, lol. Of course, the story originally comes from a French novel. But I think all of the adaptations are pretty romance novel-esque. It’s definitely a story I’m interested in checking out. Hoping for lots of angest, hehe 😉
