Kdrama Kisses

We have our first teaser trailer out for the upcoming tvN drama Smart Prison Living (also known as Wise Prison Life) starring Jung Kyung Ho (Missing 9) and Park Hae Soo (Legend of the Blue Sea). Smart Prison Living is a lighthearted black comedy that tells the stories of the everyday lives of prison inmates. The PD of the Reply Series is on board with one of the junior writers of the Reply Series penning the script.

Don’t get too excited though. It’s one of those true teasers that doesn’t show too much. It gives a nod to the Reply series with the text Reply 1997, Reply 1994, and Reply 1988 popping up accompanied by the appropriate theme music. This happens overtop images of the prison where our current story will be set. And that’s about it! While that was definitely just a tease, it will be interesting to see that very slice of life Reply vibe carry over into a prison setting. And of course, my main reason for watching…Jo Kyung Ho!

Smart Prison Living is scheduled to premiere November 22 on tvN.
