Fall From the Sky Korean Drama - Yoon Hyun Min and Ahn Woo Yeon

Yoon Hyun Min (Tunnel) and Ahn Woo Yeon (Circle: Two Worlds Connected) have been confirmed to be starring in the new tvN drama Fall From the Sky (also known as Paul Who Fell From the Sky). Fall From the Sky is based off a popular webtoon about a supernatural being born to an angel father and a human mother.

He’s an energetic and happy being that was banished to Earth where he decides to battle evil forces to protect the people. One day a woman is able to see him and saves his life, and he decides to be her guardian angel. They then fall in love as they work together to battle demons.

Well, this sounds like a whole lot of fun! We’re continuing the trend of supernatural beings that are stuck on Earth, but this is a bit different in terms of mythology. It also has me thinking of 2016’s Let’s Fight Ghost where a man who could see ghosts teamed up with a woman ghost to battle evils ghosts. Okay, that was a lot of ghosts in that sentence!

Both of these men are solid actors, but so far it has not been revealed what characters Yoon Hyun Min and Ahn Woo Yeon will be playing. I for one am really hoping that Yoon Hyun Min is playing the angel. I always enjoy him so much, but it’s been a while since I’ve got to see him play a fun character, and this role definitely sounds fun! I’m also excited to see who they get as the leading lady.

Fall From the Sky is looking to air in August on tvN.

Honestly, what is going on the past few weeks? I find the stories and premisse for a lot of Korean drama series, are getting more and more original by the minute. This one definitely sounds like a whole lot of fun. Looking forward to it. There could be a little bit of a horror element appearing in this one, which I would like if that were to be true 😀

They do seem to keep coming up with some interesting ones! I think using webtoons as source material has really helped expand some of these unique concepts, and I definitely hope the trend continues 🙂 I really hope it has a similar vibe to the drama I mentioned, Let’s Fight Ghost. It had the heavy supernatural element that mixed some very funny comedy with some lighter horror elements. It was a whole lot of fun 🙂
