Second Darker Trailer Released for Korean Drama ‘School 2017’

A second trailer has been released for the new KBS drama School 2017 starring Kim Se Jung of the group Gugudan, Kim Jung Hyun (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People), and Jang Dong Yoon (Solomon’s Perjury).

This one takes a much darker turn than the previous upbeat trailer. We see a mysterious school delinquent causing all kinds of trouble at the school. This leaves things tense between the teachers and the students.

My interest levels have definitely went up. I like a good mystery mixed in with the high school setting. Hopefully, it works to amplify the many issues our students will be facing over the course of the drama.

School 2017 is part of the popular School series that are each standalone seasons. It focuses on high school students and issues they struggle with like grades and bullying. Kim Se Jung plays a smart and cheerful girl who ends up wrongly labeled as a delinquent with Kim Jung Hyun as the school bad boy and Jang Dong Yoon as the golden boy who seems to have it all.

School 2017 is scheduled to premiere July 17 on KBS.

Umm…I don’t know if I want mystery-thriller elements with School franchise…what I loved about School 2013 was the closeness it had with reality…in a normal kind of way. Let’s see how this one goes!

  I’m happy if they include mystery thriller elements. I found School 2013 very mundane (enjoyed the bromance though) and tend to find more slice of life and realistic stuff a bit boring. So I like spicing it up with more excitement, hehe

Nice…I love highschool dramas so this was already on my list, but it’s very cool to see that they are now adding these kind of elements to it as well. Great trailer, like that it’s getting a bit of a darker tone as well now 😊
