School 2017 Korean Drama - Kim Se Jung

Kim Se Jung of the group Gugudan has been confirmed to be starring in the new KBS drama School 2017. School 2017 is part of the popular School series that are each standalone seasons. It focuses on high school students and issues they struggle with like grades and bullying. It comes from the writer of the Let’s Eat series.

An offer previously went out to Kim Yoo Jung, but she turned it down. Kim Se Jung will play a smart and cheerful girl who ends up wrongly labeled as a delinquent.

Starring alongside her will be Kim Jung Hyun (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People) as the school bad boy and Jang Dong Yoon (Solomon’s Perjury) as the golden boy who seems to have it all.

Other students include Seol In Ah (Strong Woman Do Bong Soon) and Rowoon (Click Your Heart). Han Joo Wan (Blow Breeze) will play a teacher.

We have a lot of newer actors in this lineup, but that’s what the School series has long been known for. And with the cast pretty much in place, cameras are set to roll!

School 2017 is looking to air in July on KBS.

Highschool dramas as I like to call them, are certainly fun to watch. I never have seen a Korean version yet (unless counting Pinocchio, but that I am pretty sure is not one of them), but have seen my fair share of American ones (like The OC, One Tree Hill abd ofcourse Beverly Hills 90210). This could be interesting 😊

Hmm, no Korean high school dramas yet? Haha, yeah, probably wouldn’t count Pinocchio, but the first few episodes are definitely high school 🙂 My fav high school dramas don’t seem like they would be too high on your interest list, lol. So I’d probably say try something darker like White Christmas or Solomon’s Perjury or a little more normal like Monstar or School 2013. But this one looks like it has potential too 🙂

Solomon’s Perjury was actually what I had planned to watch before I came across Bad Guys. But I might watch that after finishing Bad Guys (which I am still having a blast with 😊).

Yay! Glad you’re really enjoying Bad Guys 🙂 I still need to get in Solomon’s Perjury. It’s high up on my list 🙂
