Season 2 of the popular crime drama Bad Guys is looking to air this fall on OCN. Bad Guys told the story of two detectives who formed a team with three criminals including a a gangster, a contract killer, and a serial killer to catch other serious criminals.
It is in the beginning stages of production, and the original writer, Han Jung Hoon, will be returning. It is is still unknown whether or not any of the cast from the first season will be returning. The original group consisted of Kim Sang Joon, Ma Dong Suk, Park Hae Jin, Jo Dong Hyuk, and Kang Ye Won.
This is another show where I really want the original cast to come back! But it seems like more times than not, second seasons tend to just get new actors. It’s just difficult to get everyone back together due to scheduling issues. But this is a great writer, so I will still be very interested in this new drama regardless.

Hmm yeah that is so true. I even heard that there are plans in the works for Decendants of the Sun season 2, but also with a different cast. That show worked because of the chemistry between the two leads. It would be strange to see an entirely different cast involved. But it could work for this show I guess. I still have to see season one, but I love the premise for this series 😊

A different cast works well for shows like Bad Guys where there is more of an ensemble cast rather than a lead couple. It’s easier to recreate a similar dynamic with a new group in the same setting. Of course, I liked the original cast and how they worked together, so of course I would love to see more of that. But I think they would have more options story wise to just start fresh. I’ll tune in either way 🙂

Sadly, it looks like the old cast won’t be returning 😦 They have already started offering roles to other actors. Definitely disappointing.
