Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won Confirmed to Star in Korean Drama Remake of ‘Criminal Minds’

Criminal Minds Korean Drama - Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won

Yay! Lee Joon Gi (Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Goryeo) and Moon Chae Won (Goodbye Mr. Black) have now been confirmed to be starring in the Korean remake of the American TV show Criminal Minds. Criminal Minds is a crime drama about a team of FBI profilers.

As always, I am thrilled that Lee Joon Gi will be back on my screen soon. This also marks his return to the modern period after his last three dramas were historicals. So that has me excited!

Moon Chae Won is also a solid female lead that I enjoy. And while I understand the drama won’t likely focus much on romance, I really do hope we at least get a romantic subplot between these two. They are just too good of a pairing not to have one! But I’m definitely looking forward to some thrills and intensity in a crime drama like this.

Criminal Minds is looking to air in July on tvN.

And a big congratulations on the recently confirmed dating news of Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin! I wish them tons of happiness together!

  2. Yay for Joon Ki in a modern role! I wonder if it will be close to the Chinese drama Love Me If You Dare? I have never seen the US show to compare it to…

I actually liked the first couple of seasons of Criminal minds so I am curious about this. I still need to check out the Jdrama version of Cold Case too.

From all the CSI-type series Criminal Minds has always been my favorite. This series can be really, really dark, so I am wondering if the Korean version will have that sane dark edge to it. Great to see Moon Chae Won cast for this one. She really is one of my favorite Korean actresses 😊

tvN did put it in a late night timeslot, so they may be anticipating going a little darker with it. Although it’s hard imagining a kdrama going darker than Voice though 😛 But yes, the cast is great. I really enjoy Moon Chae Won and am thrilled she will be starring alongside my fav Lee Joon Gi 🙂
