Ha Ji Won Offered Lead Role in Korean Medical Drama ‘Hospital Ship’

Ha Ji Won (The Time I’ve Loved You) has been offered the lead role in the new MBC drama Hospital Ship. Hospital Ship is about doctors on a medical ship that travels to rural villages on islands.

Ha Ji Won would play a surgeon who joins the ship after experiencing difficult family circumstances. The drama comes from the PD of New Leaf and I Miss You.

It sounds like it’s supposed to be a heartwarming drama that focuses on growth. But as much as I want to see Ha Ji Won in a new project, I’m not too interested in yet another medical drama. Though this one’s setting is quite unique, so depending on the cast, I may just take a look.

Hospital Ship is looking to air in July on MBC.

I am not too keen on watching yet another medical drama myself, but I do agree that I like the setting for this one. It is unique in that it takes place aboard a ship. Might watch an episode just to see what it is about 😊

  Definitely been too many medical dramas! But with the unique setting and if Ha Ji Won signs on, I’ll keep an open mind. I’m selective about when I watch a medical drama, but if it seems to hit the right spots for me, I may give it a go 🙂
