Second Intense Trailer Released for Korean Sageuk Drama ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’

A second trailer has been released for the upcoming MBC sageuk drama Ruler: Master of the Mask starring Yoo Seung Ho (Remember: War of the Son) and Kim So Hyun (Let’s Fight Ghost), and it delivers plenty of intensity.

It shows our lonely Crown Prince questioning why he has to wear a mask as well as battling the mysterious shadow organization. We also see Kim So Hyun fighting against soldiers.

This was my first time realizing that Yoo Seung Ho would be wearing a literal mask. It certainly makes things more interesting and really adds a whole new layer of mystery to the drama. I’m loving the feel of it, and the entire cast is quite good. I’m definitely excited for this one!

Ruler: Master of the Mask is about a Joseon prince (Yoo Seung Ho) who fights against injustice in society by going up against a shadow organization wanting to privatize the waters of Joseon. A woman (Kim So Hyun) is also out for revenge against the prince after her father is ordered to be executed because of him. Of course, things get complicated when she falls in love with him.

Ruler: Master of the Mask is scheduled to premiere May 10 on MBC.

Covering the beauty that is Yoo Seung Ho’s face should be a crime, but I will have to watch anyways!

  It is a shame 😛 They also covered Joo Won’s face in Bridal Mask, but luckily, we still got plenty of time without the mask. So I’ll be expecting plenty of face time for Yoo Seung Ho in this one too, lol 🙂

Great trailer. This is truly a series that is what I like to see in a historical drama/ movie. Like the setting, and the costumes for it as well. The whole thing looks like it is almost made as feature film, with high value production costs. Cool! And yes I have added it to my list 😂
