Health Issues Force Gu Hye Sun to Step Down from Korean Weekend Drama ‘You Are Too Much’

Gu Hye Sun has been forced to step down from her current weekend drama You Are Too Much due to health issues. Apparently, she suffered anaphylaxis due to a severe allergy which required emergency treatment. Her treatment and recovery conflict with the drama and thus she will not be able to continue.

I’m saddened to hear this news, and I hope she gets excellent medical care has a swift recovery. I’m sure this is very difficult for her and her husband Ahn Jae Hyun.

Her character has been recast with actress Jang Hee Jin (Introverted Boss). She will appear beginning in episode 7.

You Are Too Much is about the rivalry and friendship between a girl (Jang Hee Jin) that dreams of being a celebrity who becomes an impersonator of a once popular star (Uhm Jung Hwa).

You Are Too Much airs Saturday and Sunday on MBC.

I hope & pray she (Gu Hye Sun)has a speedy recovery w no after effects. It’s nice she has someone next to her to oversee that she recovers nicely. Wish her the best plus wish her hubby strength to bear the weight of watching over his wife as she recovers. God bless them both.

Hmm, this is sad news indeed. I always don’t like it when actors get replaced, but in this case it could not be helped ofcourse. But it is even worse for her. I hope she recovers soon.

  Very sad both for her personally and professionally. It’s a shame to have to be recast after already completing six episodes. But yes, the most important thing is that she has time to rest and recover so she can eventually do other things.
