Chief Kim Takes the Lead in Korean Drama Ratings Over Saimdang Light’s Diary and Missing 9

Saimdang Light's Diary Herstory Korean Drama - Lee Young Ae

Missing 9 Korean Drama - Jung Kyung Ho and Baek Jin Hee Chief Kim Korean Drama - Nam Goong Min

There were some shake-ups in Nielsen drama ratings this week! Chief Kim had a massive increase from last week by bringing in 12.8% for episode 3 on Wednesday. It then surged ahead and took the first place position with 13.8% for episode 4 on Thursday.

Saimdang Light’s Diary fell in its second week bringing in 13% for episode 3 on Wednesday and 12.3% for episode 4 on Thursday.

Missing 9 remained in last place bringing in 4.8% for episode 5 on Wednesday and 4.8% for episode 6 on Thursday.

Well, count me as surprised to see Chief Kim almost double in ratings in its second week! Is it just the charm of Nam Goong Min? Chief Kim, Saimdang Light’s Diary, and Missing 9 will be going against each other for a while to come, so it will be interesting to see if Chief Kim will maintain its lead in the coming weeks.

Saimdang Light’s Diary airs Wednesday and Thursday on SBS.

Missing 9 airs Wednesday and Thursday on MBC.

Chief Kim airs Wednesday and Thursday on KBS.
