Defendant had a strong premiere last week, and this week it easily came out on top in Nielsen drama ratings. It saw a nice spike to 17.3% for episode 3 on Monday. It then
continued to rise to 18.7% for episode 4 on Tuesday.
We saw the premiere of the historical Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People. It had a good opening week bringing in 8.9% for episode 1 on Monday and rising to 10% for episode 2 on Tuesday.
Hwarang saw a bit of a decrease from last week bringing in 9.7% for episode 13 on Monday and 9.1% for episode 14 on Tuesday.
So both Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People and Hwarang landed close together with Defendant securely in first place. Will Defendant be able to break 20% next week in just the third week of its run?

Out of three, I’m currently watching Defendant and I’m so happy to see that its a hit in its own country too! Much credit goes to Ji sung’s acting ❤ and the mystery filled plot. Episode 4 ending makes it hard to predict who is friend and who is foe.

I’m thrilled to see Defendant doing so well too! Ji Sung is always amazing and everyone seems to really like the tense plot. I’ll be starting it soon and am very excited to dive in 🙂
