Goblin Korean Drama - Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun

Goblin just keeps on climbing in Nielsen drama ratings! The fantasy melodrama stars Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na, and Yook Sung Jae. It reached yet another series high of 14.2% for episode 13 on Friday.

But we only got one episode of Goblin this week. A special episode was aired on Saturday with episode 14 being pushed back to January 20. The final two episodes will then air back to back on January 21.

It will be interesting to see how the move effects ratings. But more importantly, fans are anxious to see how everything plays out in this final stretch of the hit drama that so many have come to love.

Goblin is a fantasy romance about a modern day goblin (Gong Yoo) who wants to end his immortal life and needs a human bride (Kim Go Eun) to do so.  He ends up living with a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who has amnesia.  The drama will tell the story of the lives of those that see the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The drama comes from the writer of Descendants of the Sun.

Goblin airs Friday and Saturday on tvN.

Keep sharing the love! And I am officially on board the Goblin train! I’m on episode 6, and it is definitely a great drama 🙂 As expected, I love all of the cast, especially the Grim Reaper.

It is great to see a kdrama with a well developed fantasy story. And the visuals are completely stunning. So much detail went into the shots and many of the scenes are works of art in the way they are done. I loved the battle scene in the first episode, the ship in the ocean, the scene where the car splits in two, many of the beautiful scenes in Canada, and the list could go on. Definitely looking forward to continue 🙂

Woohoo…yes, so cool that you have started with it. And even more importantly, that you like it as well 😊 I really love how this show started off as something completely different, and then switched gears to turn into this great drama with humor. Not being a fan of comedies in general, this series has just such fantastic humor in it, that it doesn’t bother me in the least. And there are so many great scenes ahead. Without spoiling things all I can say is movie theatre. You will know what I mean once you reach that scene 😂😂 Looking forward to you seeing the rest. I am currently at episode 10 (slowing down a bit, because I don’t want it to end 😂😂)

It was a hard wait for sure, but now I’m enjoying myself 🙂 Although this writer’s stories are all very different from each other, they all have a similar style with a good mix of drama and humor that I like. Just watched the movie theater scene, and yep, it was hilarious! I’m definitely looking forward to the rest too 🙂
