Kdrama Kisses

It was a record breaking week for fantasy melodrama Goblin starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na, and Yook Sung Jae which rose in Nielsen ratings again. It rose to a series high of 12.9% for episode 9 on Friday. It then brought in a solid 12.7% for episode 10 on Saturday.

This makes it the second highest rated tvN drama ever with Reply 1988 being the only drama to bring in higher ratings. It would need to hit 18.8% to tie it.

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Goblin for achieving such a feat! It’s hard to say if it will be able to take the all time first place record, but regardless of whether or not that happens, Goblin has already been a massive success on many levels. Again, congratulations!

Goblin is a fantasy romance about a modern day goblin (Gong Yoo) who wants to end his immortal life and needs a human bride (Kim Go Eun) to do so.  He ends up living with a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who has amnesia.  The drama will tell the story of the lives of those that see the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The drama comes from the writer of Descendants of the Sun.

Goblin airs Friday and Saturday on tvN.
