Even though it has reached impressive ratings, I am kind of passing on medical dramas at this point. Already said that I have seen too much of them these days, but it only goes to show that it is a very popular genre (and honestly I like watching them too 😂)

Completely understand. Medical dramas are usually at the bottom of my watch list. But I do make exceptions, and I probably will give this one a go. The last one I watched was Beautiful Mind, so by the time I get to Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim, I think it will have been 5 or 6 months since I watched one. And I really like the melo vibe of this one, plus coming from a writer I like. So hopefully, the pluses will outweigh the negatives. But there was seriously a lot of medical dramas this year!

There is not a show currently airing that compares to RDTK. The high ratings are completely justified. I see RDTK as a challenge to the viewer to quit groveling to get ahead and live a life you can be proud of, even if it comes at a cost. The entire cast’s acting is first rate, and Teacher Kim needs to win an award IMHO. There is some medical gore/blood and the first episode will leave your mouth hanging open several times, but show simmers down the tone and seems to have found it’s groove now. Not really a melo either, just a fantastic story. Don’t wait on this one.

Glad you’re enjoying this one 🙂 The blood/gore thing has me worried since I don’t like shows that have a lot of it, but I’m definitely planning to check it out. I’m hoping it has some of the elements I enjoyed from this writer’s previous works 🙂
