Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim continued its quick upward climb in ratings as it draws nearer to the 20% mark. It brought in 16.5% for episode 5 on Monday and 18.9% for episode 6 on Tuesday.
The Man Living in Our House continued to fall in the other direction bringing in only 3.7% on Monday for episode 9. It brought in 3.9% for episode 10 on Tuesday.
We saw the premiere of the new melodrama Night Light which brought in 6.6% for episode 1 on Monday and 6.3% for episode 2 on Tuesday.
Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim is holding strong in first place and may just be able to break that coveted 20% mark soon. Night Light saw okay numbers for its first week, but only time will tell how it will fair in the long run.
Sadly, The Man Living in Our House sunk even lower, which is really a shame since I know a lot of fans are really loving the show. We’ll just have to see if it manages to improve its numbers in its second half while going against the hit Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim.

Wow! I absolutely love The Man Living in our House, but I also love Doctor Kim. Which says a lot, since I normally don’t get into medical dramas. I don’t know if I love it 20% ratings worth, but I’m still rooting for it to pass the mark, just because that’s quite the feat these days. I haven’t checked out Night Light yet, but I might try it. All shows, Fighting!

I’m not a big fan of medical dramas either, but if they have a good of story and characters I’ll watch them. The Korean audience really does seem to prefer more melo stories though, and doctor dramas have been quite popular lately. I’m rooting for them all too though!

Surprised to read about the Man living in our House has fallen in the ratings. I thought it was a pretty original storyline. But as I haven’t watched it yet, I can’t really form an opinion on it yet.

Yeah, I hate seeing a drama get such low ratings. It’s probably because of the more unique story line that it doesn’t have as broad of appeal. I’m mostly seeing really positive stuff about it from international audiences though, and I’m still very excited to check it out 🙂
