Goblin Korean Drama - Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na

Wow! Now that’s an epic trailer! We have a 6 minute long preview trailer for the upcoming tvN drama Goblin starring Gong Yoo (Big), Kim Go Eun (Cheese in the Trap), Lee Dong Wook (Bubblegum), Yoo In Na (One More Happy Ending) and Yook Sung Jae (Village: Secret of Achiara). They have also chosen Guardian: The Lonely and Great God as the English title. I’ll probably just stick with Goblin for the time being.

But there is so much to see in this trailer. First, this drama is seriously pretty to look at! The rich colors and sweeping scenery are just gorgeous. And is this going to be one of those times where I want to stay in the past longer? It looks so intense!

And bring on the bromance! I’m already loving Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook and their bickering interactions. Each guy also looks great with their respective ladies, Kim Go Eun and Yoo In Na.

It looks like there will be dashes of humor throughout, and I’m looking forward to the angsty melodramatic goodness too. I’m ready for this drama!

Goblin is a fantasy romance about a modern day goblin (Gong Yoo) who wants to end his immortal life and needs a human bride (Kim Go Eun) to do so.  He ends up living with a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who has amnesia.  The drama will tell the story of the lives of those that see the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The drama comes from the writer of Descendants of the Sun.

Goblin is scheduled to premiere December 2 on tvN.

Yeah, I knew I was looking forward to the long trailer for a reason! This trailer was fantastic and really highlighted all of the different aspects of the drama as well as giving a nice look at the characters and their interactions. I’m definitely excited!

Dude, I was not expecting that to look so goooood! Oh my word. I’m still saying judgment for when I watch the show (I’ve kinda been let down by some dramas this year, lol) but wow, if its anything like the trailers, this is going to be great!

It really does look good! Of course, trailers always present the best and most exciting parts of any drama. But they also give a good feel of the story and the characters. I get pretty excited for dramas, but I usually don’t let myself get too hyped. Sorry you’ve been let down a couple times. Hopefully, this one lives up to the trailers and doesn’t disappoint 🙂

im also looking forward to this drama, the past scenes look great, but i think with saeguk, from the trailer i feel like they will balance both the past and present well and make them both interesting to watch.i think setting it in modern times is gonna allow them to more fun/interesting things. im actually excited for this because most of the trailers and teasers have this underlying sandness to it and having been privy to some spoilers, there is a lot of stuff that will be going on and this drama is only 16 eps, which i think is perfect cause hopefully there wont be filler esque eps and become draggy. i really hope this good cause like others have posted a lot of hyped drama’s this is year were disappointments or kinda fell a little flat.

I agree, I think both segments will be good and am looking forward to both. And yes, hopefully it won’t become draggy. It seems like the story has plenty to work with and a lot of different elements to explore. I’ve had pretty good luck with several of the hyped dramas this year, but I know others have been disappointed by some. I like this writer, and with such an intriguing story, I’m very hopeful for Goblin 🙂
