Goblin Korean Drama - Gong Yoo

Finally! A longer trailer! The latest trailer for the upcoming tvN drama Goblin starring Gong Yoo (Big), Kim Go Eun (Cheese in the Trap), Lee Dong Wook (Bubblegum), Yoo In Na (One More Happy Ending) and Yook Sung Jae (Village: Secret of Achiara) is all kinds of awesome.

First we get to see warrior Gong Yoo in the past with some intense sword battles. The switch to the modern time period is full of gorgeous cinematography with a sad Gong Yoo longing to break his immortal curse.

I love the costumes and intensity in the historical portion. It’s too bad that will likely be a very small part at the beginning of the drama. But I’m already feeling the rich melodramatic aspects of the modern portion with the tangible angst and sadness. I’m loving it!

Goblin is a fantasy romance about a modern day goblin (Gong Yoo) who wants to end his immortal life and needs a human bride (Kim Go Eun) to do so.  He ends up living with a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who has amnesia.  The drama will tell the story of the lives of those that see the souls of the dead to the afterlife. The drama comes from the writer of Descendants of the Sun.

Goblin is scheduled to premiere December 2 on tvN.
