Lee Shi Eon Joins the Cast of Korean Drama My Sassy Girl

My Sassy Girl Korean Drama - Lee Shi Eon

Lee Shi Eun (W-Two Worlds) is the latest to join the cast of the new drama My Sassy Girl starring Joo Won (Yong Pal) and Oh Yeon Seo (Come Back Ahjussi). He will play the role of Joo Won’s friend. He joins other cast members such as Kim Yoon Hye (Vampire Detective), Jung Woong In (Monster), Lee Jung Shin (Cinderella and the Four Knights), and Shim Hyung Tak (Five Kids).

I’m always thrilled to see Lee Shi Eun pop up in comedic roles whether it be a secretary to a chaebol or a stressed out webtoon artist. I can already picture the hilarity of his interactions with Joo Won and am really looking forward to this duo.

My Sassy Girl is a sageuk remake of the classic movie of the same name about a quirky, troublemaker princess who gets involved with a city man. It will be completely pre-produced and is looking to air in the beginning of 2017 on SBS.

Lee Shi Eun has become my favorite character actor. I first started to appreciate him in Modern Farmer. It is good to see him working so much these days.

I really love him too. Modern Farmer is also when I first noticed him. Of course, I loved everyone in that drama, but he had so many memorable and hilarious scenes! My other favorite is Kang Ki Young. When they finally had a few scenes together in W I just kept imagining the potential of the two of them doing a comedy together. But I’m always thrilled when Lee Shi Eun gets cast, and I’m glad he’s getting a lot of roles too 🙂
