Kwak Dong Yeon Joins Korean Drama Moonlight Drawn By Clouds With Park Bo Gum

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds Korean Drama - Kwak Dong Yun

Now I really love this! Kwak Dong Yeon (Come Back Ahjussi) has joined the cast of  the new KBS saguek Moonlight Drawn By Clouds along with Park Bo Gum (Reply 1988) and Kim Yoo Jung (Angry Mom). I figured most of the casting was complete for the drama, so I was definitely surprised to see this.

Kwak Dong Yeon will play the best friend of the Crown Prince who is an excellent swordsman. He will be helping Kim Yoo Jung’s character out as she pretends to be a eunuch.

I’m very excited with this addition to the drama since I love Kwak Dong Yeon. He is a very under-rated actor with great talent. I’m hoping this role will give him a fair amount of screen time. I’m just waiting for the right doors to open for him to get a proper lead role in a full length drama. But in the meantime, I’m thrilled to get to see him in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds tells the story of a prince (Park Bo Gum) who falls in love with his eunuch who is a girl (Kim Yoo Jung) disguised as a man that gives out love advice in the palace.

Moonlight Drawn By Clouds is scheduled to premiere August 15 on KBS.

He is one of my favourite young actors and I’ve been following his carreer since Adolecent Medley, though I’ve watched only some of his dramas. FNC doesn’t seem to do enough to promote him so he’s sort of been left in the shadow of other youngsters despite of his obvious acting talent. Boy has impeccable comic timing too.🙂

He really is such a talent. He needs some serious promotion because it is such a shame to see someone like him get passed over.

Yes, his comic timing! That’s what initially caught my attention of him in Modern Farmer. Then I quickly saw how much of an acting range he has. Him and his girl ended up being my favorite of the drama.

I’ve been saving Adolescent Medley, but have enjoyed him in many of his other smaller roles. I’m always excited to see him pop up in dramas, and I hope he gets some decent screen time in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds🙂

I liked him so much as the “child” in Inspiring Generation (aka Age of Feeling) that I was disappointed when Kim Hyun Joong took over the role. That was such a serious, dramatic role that I was amazed how funny he could be in Modern Farmer. What I don’t understand about him is why such a talented actor would want to be a trainee in a rock band. He should spend all his time acting. lol

Now that would be a huge switch going from him to Kim Hyun Joong. I loved how funny he was in Modern Farmer, but even in his more serious moments he really tugged at my heartstrings. I agree, unless he just really wants to be in a rock band, they need to promote him and get him more decent roles🙂
