Kang Ha Neul Offered Lead Role in Korean Drama Gaia

Gaia Korean Drama - Kang Ha Neul

Kang Ha Neul (Misaeng) has been offered the leading role in the new MBC drama Gaia.  Gaia tells the story of a regular girl and a popular boy band leader who get stranded on an island together after a plane crash.  Kang Ha Neul would play the leader of the boy band.

I really love the premise of this drama.  I love a good trapped on a deserted island story.  It’s like another form of forced co-habitation with a bit more excitement.  Hopefully, they get a good actress to play the leading lady.  But I can definitely see myself checking this one out.

Gaia is scheduled to premiere in September on MBC.

Update 4/25/16: Kang Ha Neul has turned down the role in Gaia.

Update 7/25/16: Kang Ha Neul has been re-offered the role, and the drama is now going by the title of Picnic.

Update 11/16/16: Jung Kyung Ho and Baek Jin Hee will be starring, and the drama is now titled Missing 9.
